New Economy Oak Park

Welcome!  This group is a network that supports local buying by Oak Park area institutions.  It collaborates on building our local community using innovative approaches to economic development, green job creation, and neighborhood stabilization.

The Austin Chamber of Commerce hosted a Joint 29th Ward and 37th Ward Town Hall Meeting on 5/24/2016 at the Austin Town Hall.  Both Alderman Mitts and Alderman Taliaferro agreed that this was a great idea to get more community feedback and buy-in for the proposed campus.  And for its vision of a revitalized Westside.

Meet new people, add your creativity to projects already in the works and help nurture new ideas. The ProAction Café is an interactive, small-group process.  Conversations will build on each other as people move between tables, cross-pollinating ideas and offering new insights.
