Neighbors on the block

Welcome to the Block Club demo.  Forming a block club is a way to build a stronger neighborhood, to connect with your neighbors, to stay informed and share useful local information.
This is a place to share goods, advice and recommendations.  Do you need a reliable plumber? Do you know of a great dog-walker?  Create a block club to help build a happier village.

Please join us at our 2nd Annual INDOOR Holiday Impromptu Tennis PartySat., Dec. 19th, 5:00 to 8:00 pm

  • Membership at the tennis club is not required and you are welcome to bring guests. 
  • $15/person for two hours of tennis + pizza time.
  • Location: Tennis & Fitness Center, 301 Lake St (at Ridgeland), Oak Park. (708) 386-2175.

We changed ourselves and our block became Green.  This Green-Block Starter Kit emerged from the process that we went through. 

We hope to encourage many blocks to become Green and then for our Green Village to inspire other villages to become Green.

We are looking for a babysitter this Saturday afternoon from noon to 2pm.   Steven (6 yrs) will have eaten lunch and will be ready to play in the backyard, you can also take him to the library.  You would need to arrive at 11:45 so we can quickly review the emergency info.  We will be home around shortly after 2pm.  Offering $10 per hr.

Lost cat.  Our black cat escaped the house over the weekend.  She has a collar, and will respond to the name Midnight.  Please keep a look out for her, and I would appreciate if you could also leave a small dish of water on your porch.  You can call my cell, 708-234-5678
