ONE EARTH FILM FESTIVAL, The Midwest's Premier Environmental Film Festival, Seeks Volunteers for Building our 4th Annual Change-Making Event.
One Earth Film Festival will hold its 4th annual event in dozens of Chicagoland and area locations on March 6-8, 2015. The Festival drew almost 2,500 attendees from 88 zip codes and 5 states this past March and is hoping to attract 4,000 this year. The Festival has also grown its volunteer base to more than 200, partners with more than 50 organizations, and is the only event of its kind and reach in the entire region. It also sponsors a Young Filmmakers Contest that is accepting environmental film submissions from youth in grades 3 through college from now through January 18. The mission of the Festival is to utilize compelling environmental films and engaging programming in order to bring about an understanding of climate change, sustainability, and the power of human involvement. We seek enthusiastic volunteers with interest in/commitment to environmental sustainability, to help serve on any of the following Planning Team subcommittees immediately:

  • Marketing/Advertising/Social Media
  • Fundraising
  • Venues & Logistics
  • AV/Technical
  • Volunteer Coordination
  • Young Filmmakers Contest

Interested volunteers, please contact Ana at [email protected], stating your primary interest based on subteams described above. A volunteer kickoff meeting is planned for Mon, November 17 @7-8:30PIf you are interested in getting involved, we will reach out with location details ASAP.

Festival weekend volunteers will also be needed (help with registration, as a greeter, or with food/drink events during Fri-Sun March 6-8, 2015). If you are ONLY interested in Fest-weekend volunteering (individually or with a group), please specify that in your response. The volunteer coordinator will reach out to you in a month or so, to coordinate directly with you.
