About Us

Village Community Fellows Program is operated in the Austin Community for youth interested in developing and running their own businesses. The purpose of this program is to provide intensive training in the areas of entrepreneurship, civic engagement and job skills development for the next generation of leaders and creative thinkers in Austin. Youth will learn from mentors who are experts in their fields, engage in high level training for business owners and learn firsthand how to successfully establish, operate and staff a company of their own.

Qualifications

  • ages16-24
  • youth with the desire to start their own businesses
  • ability to participate in 12 weeks of training
  • willingness to learn, grow and adapt
  • desire to be more involved in the community

Program Details

Fellows will receive twelve weeks of training from a distinguished panel of local business owners and professionals. Additionally, fellows will receive opportunities to attend workshops at the Institute of Business and Social Enterprise.
