A story about our country for my 4-year old grandson

Barry Koren

When your Daddy was about your age, our country had a leader who was good to people (Jimmy Carter).  A man who wanted to take his place (Ronald Reagan) did a bad thing (Iran-Contra) and tricked people into making him the new leader.  In the years that passed, a small group of people became very rich and powerful.  And many people suffered when they lost their homes or their work or their health.  The newspapers and televisions explained that all of this is as it should be.  People became afraid.

One day there will be some people--maybe young and maybe old--who will write the story of exploring and discovering a better way to live.  And when people will read that story, many will find hope and happiness again, and re-build the villages in which they live.
