There were maybe 2 million organizations world-wide in 2007 that were dealing with ecological sustainability and social justice (according to Paul Hawken in Blessed Unrest).  My guess is this number has gone up (with all of the protests in the Middle East, the US, and elsewhere).  

Are there many of these organization that are here in my village of Oak Park?  And if so, what are they and what are they saying and doing?  The villages on the H&B website give people in local communities the opportunity to connect with one another, help one another, and hopefully build better places.
