Tree Project Oak Park - Save Our Trees

Welcome to the Oak Park Tree Project.

Through sculpture and other art forms, this group helps folks become more aware of the blessings given us by our trees and their importance in feeding us the oxygen we need to breath.

The Chicago Tree Project is saving dead trees to provide a habitat for insects which feed animals and birds.

Oak Park sculptress Margot McMahon is one of ten sculptors who worked with Chicago Sculpture International and the Chicago Park District to to bring attention to the number of trees expected to die over the next few years. Climate change, stressed parkway trees, drought, volatile weather and wind are causing an unprecedented number of trees to die when we need them the most to heal the earth.
