We changed ourselves and our block became Green. This Green-Block Starter Kit emerged from the process that we went through.
We hope to encourage many blocks to become Green and then for our Green Village to inspire other villages to become Green.

My almost 5-year-old grandson trying out for the Santa Cruz D-league team!
Back in my day, we were lucky to get a new outfit and a pair of shoes. My date picked me up for prom in his fathers car and we drove to the local hotel for the prom. I did not spend $500 on personal grooming (waxing, nails, hair, makeup,...), spent under $100 on an outfit (dress and shoes), did not have pre-party catered hors d'oeuvres at a friends house, did not hire a professional photographer for pre-party pictures, and lastly, did not go downtown on a rented party bus with 30 other kids (unchaperoned) after the party.
What is your opinion of the current trend...
