For this current school year, my 10 year old son has walked to and from school on his own.  Living only four blocks from the school, while walking he sees many neighborhood children and their parents.  Last week, a man was charged in an attempted abduction of two students walking to school.  The children were not harmed and made it to school safely, the assailant is now in custody.

I will still let my child walk to school on his own.  What would you do?
