Tag InterestAmara C. Enyia (“ACE”) is a public policy consultant across policy areas. She served as the Chief Executive Officer of ACE Municipal Partners LLC, a full service municipal consulting firm that works with small and mid-sized cities in the Chicago area, Central America, South America and West Africa. She has also served as Executive Director of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, Policy Director of Manufacturing Renaissance, and Public Policy Analyst in the City of Chicago Mayor's Office.
Dr. Enyia leverages extensive international experience as well as experience in several policy areas including: economic development, education, public safety, housing, food security and food access, business development, workforce development, and public/private partnership structuring. She has worked as an education researcher, evaluator and policy advocate working with community groups and organizations in some of Chicago’s most challenged communities.
Dr. Enyia is a weekly radio contributor for “The Commentators” segment on WVON 1690 AM where she provides commentary on local, national and international issues. She is also a regular guest on Beyond the Beltway weekly public affairs television program, a contributor to CUSP magazine and pens a regular column for the Austin Weekly News. Dr. Enyia serves on the Board of the Illinois Commission for Diversity and Human Relations and serves on the Executive Leadership Team of 1919, an organization created for women in technology and entrepreneurship. She received Bachelors degrees in Broadcast Journalism, Political Science, and News Editorial with concentrations in History and Philosophy. She also received a law degree focusing on International law and development as well as contracts and negotiations. She holds a Masters Degree in Education and received a PhD in Educational Policy Studies where she specialized in evaluation methodology. She is fluent in Igbo, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
