I can't wait for all of the snow to melt
I can't wait for all of the snow to melt and for the earth to warm up. With all of the water, this should be a great growing season, especially for the large trees.
Lost cat
Lost cat.  Our black cat escaped the house over the weekend.  She has a collar, and will respond to the name Midnight.  Please keep a look out for her, and I would appreciate if you could also leave a small dish of water on your porch.  You can call my cell, 708-234-5678

Ways to use garden compost

Great gardening posts
I am so happy to see all of the posts for gardening.  I have a serious "green thumb" and have waiting for the weather to warm up so I can get outside.  I just joined the gardening group, and am looking to participate in active discussions, share cuttings, mingle at the Farmers Market,...
So excited to join this group!
I am so excited to join this group as I am a total green thumb.  I just recently started gardening, but am so willing to share the knowledge I do have, and hope to learn so much more.  If anyone is inetrested in "the shared experience" meaning labor, tools, equipment, crop yields, I would be so interested.  I look forward to sharing with all of you!

Teaching civics at our local schools
When did our school remove civics 101 from the curriculum?  Shouldn't we teach our youth about politics at an early age so they become committed to the local and national political scene as adults?  What are your thoughts?
